Wine:

Utterly seductive, the 2022 Red Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru Les Fichots shows a deep color, the mark of perfectly ripe Pinot. The nose is refined, with floral notes of blooming rose and a subtle touch from its barrel aging. On the palate, the delicate texture and silky tannins create a fresh, savory wine that combines concentration with finesse. A beautiful bottle to cellar for up to ten years or more, depending on your taste. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested grapes. 59-acre plot. Long vinification in wooden vats with regular punching down and temperature control. Aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 25% of which are new.

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Very delicate, Pinot, notes of blooming roses, backed by woody notes that are very well balanced.

Palate:

Between silk and velvet, this wine offers a refined, fresh, sapid juice, concentrated with finesse and delicacy.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Pâté en croûte, pan-fried foie gras with mushrooms, confit beef cheek, shallot-braised flank steak, roast free-range chicken.
