Free spirited and slightly rebellious, reaching nearly cult-status for all the young Spanish winemakers, Raul Perez is simply unique, doing nothing like everyone else. We could even venture to say that he does better than everyone else. He follows nature and its rhythm and retains only the best of it, according to each vintage. This unique approach leads him to vary his supplies and selections according to each year’s particularity. A source of delight and amazement for wine aficionados everywhere!

Spearheading the revival of the Bierzo region, located in the northwest of Spain in the province of Leon, he switches his supplies and crafts original wines that are a source of delight and amazement. Selecting ancient varieties to forge unique vintages, he produced these wines in extremely limited quantities only.

A true mentor, he also excels in his own vineyards. Near his home in the village of Valtuille de Abajo in the province of Bierzo, Raul Perez crafts a collection of wines from very old vines.
