Pure mencia with very fine fruit, the 2020 Red Ribeira Sacra Mencia is a real treat! It gives off an abundance of fruit reminiscent of black cherry, in a fresh, finely peppered, elegant, juicy and racy frame. Proof if it were needed that Spain is a land of great wines. Rated 92/100 by the Committee.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Vines aged 35-40 years on a slate soil with numerous veins of iron, quartz and mica at 300-500 meters altitude. Cold maceration between 5 and 6 days, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, pressing, decanting after malolactic fermentation and maturation with the yeasts between 4 and 8 months without stirring. Light fining and filtration before bottling.Color:

Aromas of fresh and juicy fruits such as black cherries, a slight peppery touch and a fresh finish.Palate:
