Wine:
From a parcel once meticulously tended by Denis Jeandeau, the 2023 White Saint-Véran Entre Ciel et Terre pays tribute to his legacy with a sleek, graceful wine marked by remarkable tension. This is a vibrant, finely crafted Chardonnay, balancing precision and elegance. Vinified with a focus on purity and finesse, it sees only a quarter of the aging in oak, allowing the terroir to shine. A true favorite of the Selection Committee, rated 93-94/100.Vinification:
Hand-harvested grapes, gently pressed after a brief stay in a cold chamber to preserve freshness. The juice is carefully separated, with the final pressings set aside to maintain purity. Aged for 12 months—three-quarters in stainless steel tanks and one-quarter in demi-muids—before bottling on-site in October 2024. Only 2,250 bottles produced. This cuvée comes from grapes cultivated by the late Denis Jeandeau, a dear friend and respected winemaker. Harvested and vinified with the utmost care, it originates from a 0.70-hectare parcel in Chasselas, where 40-year-old vines thrive in clay-limestone soils at 420 meters altitude, yielding a wine of remarkable clarity and finesse.

David and Sophie Devynck have breathed new life into 4 hectares of old vines in some of the finest southern Burgundy sites. Their Clos Sauvage, perched at 450 meters on granite soils laced with clay-limestone and farmed organically, is a preserved enclave where intense, authentic wines are born.
In 2023, they expanded with a parcel adjoining their own, once tended by the late Denis Jeandeau in the commune of Chasselas, within Saint-Véran. These exceptional soils now honor his legacy while carrying it forward with fresh vision, giving rise to wines of remarkable elegance and precision.
