Wine:

Driven by the finesse of old-vine Cinsault (70%), complemented by Carignan and Grenache, the 2012 red IGP Alpilles Améthyste is an elegant red with remarkably refined tannins and pure, intensely floral flavors, finishing with a delicate hint of smoke. This is one of those great wines that reveals itself gradually, offering a silky texture and beautifully gentle tannins. A rare wine, produced in small quantities and highly sought after by collectors. Awarded 94/100 by the French wine guide RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, completely destemmed, vinification in wooden truncated cone-shaped vats with light daily punching down.
Aged in ovoid concrete vats for 1 year.

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
