Wine:

The 2024 Châteauneuf-du-Pape White marks the estate’s first certified organic vintage. A stunning expression of purity, it opens with Mediterranean notes of anise, mint, and preserved lemon. On the palate, it’s sharply defined, maintaining vibrant freshness alongside a rich, creamy texture—all perfectly ripe and expertly crafted without any oak influence. Sourced from sandy soils, this elegant and radiant wine avoids any overly sunny character, instead showcasing the vintage’s bright acidity. A superb bottle to enjoy over the next decade, especially with lemon chicken. A Selection Committee Favourite, rated 94/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested with sorting in the vineyard. 1.1 hectares on sandy-clay terroirs in the La Janasse and La Crau areas. Pneumatic pressing, vinification in vats for Grenache and Clairette grapes and in barrels for Roussanne grapes. Aged on lees for 7 months in vats for Grenache and Clairette grapes and in barrels, 3/4 of which are new, with stirring for Roussanne grapes.
Certified organic wine

A flagship estate of the Southern Rhône and rated 2 stars by the Guide RVF, Domaine de la Janasse is renowned for its exceptional consistency. The Sabon family nurtures it with passion, producing outstanding wines both in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône.

Here, excellence is the rule across every wine, thanks to meticulous winemaking, carefully tended vineyards, and an ideal patchwork of plots—all now farmed organically.

With perfectly ripe fruit every year, these wines are powerful yet finely textured, balancing great finesse with vibrant freshness. They are a favourite of Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World and a valued member of our Selection Committee.
