Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné - Côtes du Rhône - Parallèle 45 - Rouge - 2021

Wine:

Very fruity and balanced, the 2021 Red Côtes-du-Rhône Parallèle 45 displays beautiful aromas of ripe fruit (strawberry, redcurrant) coupled with notes of floral. The fresh and elegant structure is composed around delicate, well-melted tannins, which contribute to its charm and appeal. A very pleasant red wine with beautiful aromatic purity, to be drunk within 5 years, with lasagne, for example, or grilled meat. A cult wine!

Vinification:

Hand harvested, traditional vinification with long vatting periods, aged for 12 months, 80% in stainless steel vats and 20% in oak truncated-cone vats.

Color:

Bright red with carmine reflections.

Nose:

Aromas of strawberries and currants underlined by floral notes.

Palate:

Of great aromatic purity and beautiful freshness, this wine with an elegant profile offers a seductive palate, with delicate and melted tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Dishes in sauce, beef stew.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2025, and even more for enthusiasts.

Rising to the top of the great houses of the Rhone Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is reaching the pinnacle of French viticulture. The Frey family, which already owns Château La Lagune and Champagne Billecart-Salmon, keeps a watchful eye over this gem of 80 hectares of vines, including  the mythical terroir of Hermitage La Chapelle.
