Robert Parker : 98/100

Wine:

Pure marsanne born at the top of the Hermitage hill, the 2020 white Ermitage L'Ermite flies over its category and prefigures the top white of the Northern Rhône Valley. The very poor terroirs of pure granite forge a colossus, capable of crossing the decades, but already so tasty at this stage of youth! The roundness, the balance, the elegance are linked around very ripe fruits, citrus and peach, with juicy flesh, drawing a complex wine, persistent, carried by a fine bitterness and a lot of freshness. Absolute class. Rated 98/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinification in barrels between 18 and 20°C. Aging on lees with regular stirring, for 10 to 12 months.

Organic and Biodynamic wine, certified by Demeter.

Color:

Pale and bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Juicy peach and citrus scents.

Palate:

Both round and well-balanced, this wine with a crazy class offers a complex and persistent palate, of great freshness and elegance.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aumônières of scallops, capon with yellow wine and morels, pan-fried foie gras.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2040.
