Wine:

The 2023 Red Saint-Joseph Deschants from Chapoutier delivers the captivating, signature aromas of Syrah: finesse, smoky notes, ash, abundant black fruit, and a wonderfully seductive touch of pepper. Hints of graphite, a reflection of the granite terroirs, are perfectly balanced by precise, measured aging. Vinification:

Hand harvested grapes. Vinification for 3 to 4 weeks in open concrete wine vats with one to two pump-overs per day. Aged for 12 to 18 months, mainly in vats and partly in oak barrels.
