Wine:

Of course, buoyed by a vintage of great consistency, the 2018 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Collection offers a generous and warm character, with an obvious Grenache dominance, noticeable in the aromas of black fruits and spices. The tannins are still prominent, but the balance is there, it's a wine with little extraction, a Chateauneuf that will please at the table today! Rated 92/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from more than 70 parcels located mainly on the Northern Terroirs of the appellation. Separate vinification of the grape varieties. Slow fermentation. Aged for 12 months in barrels of 1, 2 and 3 wines.

Color:

Red with good intensity and shine, carmine shade.

Nose:

Aromas of stewed black fruits mixed with spicy notes.

Palate:

Generous and warm, with a beautiful balance, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape unfolds a consistent and concentrated palate, with still prominent tannins and a long persistence.

Temperature:

Serve slightly chilled between 15 and 17°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Saddle of hare with thyme, pigeon stuffed with spices, grilled prime rib, venison with red wine and porcini mushrooms.
