Domaine du Clos des Fées - Côtes du Roussillon - Les Sorcières - Rouge - 2022

Wine:

The latest vintage of this wine, the 2022 Red Côtes du Roussillon Les Sorcières, continues its dynamic and gourmet momentum. The limestone base and the altitude propel a fruit-driven wine with melted and harmonious tannins, which offer maximum pleasure from now on. It is the cult wine of the estate, one of the pivots of Roussillon. Drink it now or age it for another five years or more.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature, malolactic fermentation followed by air racking, aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees.

Color:

Intense red almost black with some purple reflections.

Nose:

On aeration, peppery and spicy notes appear, followed by floral flavors (peony, violet) and smoky touches.

Palate:

This wine is fruity and full-bodied, juicy, elegant, racy and refined, with a beautiful maturity.

Temperature:

Decant 1/2 hour before serving between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Fine cuts of meat such as beef and lamb, lacquered ribs.

From now until 2029
