Wine:

The 2020 Red Le Pur Fruit du Causse Cahors is a pure Malbec judiciously aged in cement vats, conferring it a juicy and fruity quality. The nose is very pure with notes of ripe black fruits and a beautiful freshness. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with fine tannins and an intense yet delicate texture. A beautiful malbec to pair with grilled red meat or game. The more modern and accessible vision of Cahors, the embodiment of the region’s new winemaking style! Vinification:

Harvest and purchase of grapes, traditional short term cvnification (maceration of a fortnight) in stainless steel and cement vats. Maturation extends over one winter, on fine lees, in vats only.

Carmine red of beautiful intensity.

Nose:

Beautiful fragrances of black fruits.

Palate:

Fresh, fruity and incredibly joyfuln this wine boasts fine tannins and a beautifully smooth texture.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Located on the highest terroirs of Cahors, Combel La Serre is a gem of an estate, led by the energetic duo of Sophie and Julien Ilbert. Organically grown since 2013, the 23-hectare vineyard is located on a limestone plateau overlooking the Lot Valley at more than 300 meters.
