Owned by the Parinet family and awarded one star by the RVF wine guide—a respected French publication for wine enthusiasts—Château du Moulin-à-Vent is a flagship estate of the appellation. Covering 30 hectares farmed organically, this iconic cru sits on remarkable terroirs, some of which may soon earn Premier Cru status.

A key player in the region, the estate relentlessly raises its standards: ultra-high planting density (up to 14,000 vines per hectare), organic farming since 2013, horse-tended work in the oldest vineyards, and naturally low yields—all dedicated to exceptional quality.

The old Gamay vines thrive on granite sands rich in iron oxide and silica, producing concentrated, juicy grapes that create some of the region’s finest wines—wines that easily rival the most prestigious from Burgundy and the Rhône Valley.
