Wine:

True to its style, the 2009 red Saint-Julien Chateau Langoa Barton is a natural born seducer, with a deep, graceful palate, spice, a touch of fresh leather and assertive tannins. It is a pure delight, with a refined texture and luscious black fruit that are offered without hindrance, softened by a good ten years of aging, with a finish full of brilliance. Delicacy and great depth come together in this irresistible wine. Rated 96/100 RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, then the grapes are meticulously sorted and crushed before being transferred to thermo-regulated wooden vats.
Aged between 16 and 18 months in French oak barrels of which 60% are new.

Intense garnet red with purple reflections.

Nose:

Straightforward and pleasant with beautiful aromas of black fruits underlined by a spicy, peppery depth.

Palate:

Intense and complex, this wine reveals a delicate tannic persistence, an elegant structure and rich aromas accentuating a remarkable and tasty finish.

Serve at 16 to 18°C.
