Wine:

The 2022 Red Côtes du Forez La Madone is a complete success, a wine of immediate pleasure that seduces by its beauty, its freshness, and its soft tannins. The pretty fruity notes and the juicy, tasty, and spicy palate make up the charming assets of this jovial wine, with flavors of black fruits and flowers. A wine that already celebrates spring, to be paired with a pan-fried veal tab and young seasonal vegetables. Olivier Poussier's favorite.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, totally destemmed, vatted for 9 days, aged in stainless steel tanks. Light filtration.

Organic and Biodynamic wine, certified.

Color:

Intense purple ruby almost opaque.

Nose:

Fruity with black fruit flavors and floral notes.

Palate:

With a beautiful freshness, this wine reveals a juicy, fruity, spicy palate with a present tannic structure. A wine of immediate pleasure!

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Simple meat and fish, vegetable garnish, pan-fried veal mitre and fennel carrot, turnip peas, charcuterie platter.

Led by Gilles Bonnefoy, Les vins de la Madone is the new landmark estate of the volcanic Loire Valley. Located on the highest point of the river, on basalt and granite soils, the vineyard has been run biodynamically for twenty years, allowing the different facets of this unique Forézien terroir to express themselves to perfection.
