Wine:

Vinified in a clay amphora, the 2022 red Amphora is a vibrant blend of Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, Minustellu, Carcaghjolu, and Moresconu. Full of freshness and delicate aromas, ranging from black fruits and spices to violet, it reveals a tight structure with ample substance and energy, held together by beautifully supple tannins and especially a powerful intensity. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested from granite plots, vinified in a clay amphora and aged for 3 months in stainless steel tanks. No added sulfur, fining or filtration.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine. (not mentioned on back of label)

Aromas of black fruits, spices and violets.

This lively, precise cuvée reveals pure aromas, supported by supple tannins.

Almost without rival and awarded 3 stars in the RVF Guide, Yves Canarelli oversees some of the finest terroirs in Corsica. Since his first vintage in 1997, this unwavering perfectionist has continually strived for improvement and the ideal approach, cultivating close to 40 hectares biodynamically in Figari and Bonifacio, and selecting the most suitable endemic grape varieties for his taste and terroir.

This exemplary winemaker produces some of the most spectacular grand crus of the Mediterranean arc, with fresh and saline expressions that remain unmatched, thus writing the finest chapters of Corsican viticulture in an impeccable range.
