Wine:

The 2021 red Morgon Côte du Py offers the quintessence of this great terroir in a complete, fresh version. Ripe black cherry fruit and intense floral notes with hints of rose and sweet spices combine in an ample, refined framework of soft tannins, which is absolutely delicious. This vintage of tension and freshness suits it like a glove, marking a return to the classic style. A beautiful bottle that delights with its balance and precision. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification, aged for 10 months in stainless steel vats.

Color:

Purple red, dark and bright.

Nose:

Rose perfume underlined by notes of cherry burlat, worthy of the great gamay of Morgon!

Palate:

Precise and balanced, this wine with a very floral profile delivers a palate with a full and refined structure, both tense and fresh, with silky tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Flank steak with shallots, jugged hare à la Lyonnaise, pheasant casserole, braised veal grenadin.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2031.
