Wine:
Generous, the 2018 red Pauillac from Château Latour displays a beautiful concentration, with aromas of ripe berries, especially cherries, all framed by a well-balanced structure with soft and velvety tannins. This is a very fine version of the grand wine, in a more accessible style, especially on this powerful vintage, which will offer more immediate pleasure than its predecessor. You will particularly appreciate its hints of spices and black fruits, its freshness, and its excellent maturity.Vinification:
Hand-harvested, parcels located in the south-western part of the Pauillac appellation on the "Saint Anne" terroir, with vines averaging 25 years of age, as well as Enclos complants still too young to be included in the Grand Vin du Château blend, de-stemmed and crushed, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for around 3 weeks, malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels, around 20% of which are new.Domaine in conversion to Organic Agriculture by Ecocert label since 2015, viticulture according to biodynamic principles on the majority of the Enclos.
