Wine:

"A blend of 97.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.6% Merlot, and 0.3% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple-hued 2015 Latour is deliciously perfumed with notes of crushed black cherry, raspberry jam, black currant, and black plum, with hints of rose, dark chocolate, garrigue, menthol, and a touch of sandalwood. The palate beautifully displays its taut, toned, muscular flavors of fruit over a framework of very firm, soft, rounded tannins of a compelling freshness, ending with seductive earthy and mineral layers." Robert Parker

Vinification:

The grapes are destemmed and crushed, then sent to stainless steel fermentation tanks. Vatting can last up to three weeks. After the run-off, during which the free-run wine is separated from the marc, the wine is put back into the vats to undergo a second fermentation called malolactic. Each wine is then blended in vats, then "lowered" into barrels, during December. The maturation of the wine begins and will last for nearly 18 months.

Château Latour is one of the most famous and prestigious estates in Bordeaux. This 1st Grand Cru Classé of the Médoc has been managed by the Pinault family since 1993 and is at the top of its game every year, always pushing the limits of refinement and excellence. The transition of the estate to organic viticulture further enhances the expression of the terroir and the wines produced here are incomparable.
