Wine:

The 2014 Red Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Etoiles de Mondorion has reached full maturity. In this very successful vintage, of beautiful classicism, the merlot shines and delivers beautiful notes of fresh black truffle, as well as black fruit, in a fine, fresh and beautifully evolving body. The palate is perfectly balanced, with delicate tannins that offer a lot of pleasure at the dinner table. Here is a digestible and very pure Saint-Emilion, with a dense texture on a vintage of great finesse. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100, an undeniable success !

Vinification:

Hand harvested in small crates. Sorting of the harvest in the cellar. Complete de-stemming. Alcoholic fermentation in lined concrete vats. Automatic temperature control. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 2 wines.

Color:

Red of beautiful intensity, some garnet reflections.

Nose:

Marked by Merlot with nice notes of fresh black truffle mixed with black fruit aromas. A fine, fresh and well-developed ensemble.

Palate:

Very balanced, it is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru with fine tannins, digestible and very pure, with a good density of texture on a vintage of great finesse.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Leg of lamb in a herb crust, duck breast with spices, sautéed beef rib and candied shallots, matured farmhouse Saint-Nectaire cheese.
