Wine:

The 2020 Red Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru Les Vercots pushes all boundaries to the maximum! In this great vintage, it reveals itself as ripe and concentrated, distinctly marked by Pinot Noir, reminiscent of cherry juice, with noticeable aging that is still prominent at this young stage. The palate is dense and tannic with impressive contours, fully embracing the stature of a Premier Cru. This is a wine for aging, ideally waiting another two years, but its freshness and robust, fruity structure inspire confidence for six to eight years. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, long vinification in wooden vats with regular punching of the cap and temperature control.
Aged in oak barrels, 25% of which are new, for 16 months.

Color:

Dark, brilliant red with purple-violine highlights.

Nose:

Fragrances of cherry juice mixed with fine spicy notes.

Palate:

Ripe and concentrated with intense flavors of fruit, this beautifully fresh cuvée has a full-bodied, smoky palate.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
