Currently exhibiting a youthful, chalky profile, the 2021 red Gevrey-Chambertin Racines du Temps reveals dense fruit brimming with vitality and flavor intensity. The wine extends into blood-like and licorice (Zan) notes on the finish. This wine comes from the oldest vines of the domaine in Gevrey, wrapped in a well-integrated light oak that contributes to its magical aging potential. It has been rated 94/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand, 30% of the crop is matured in whole bunches for 18 months in barrels, 30% of which are new.
