Wine:

From the highest, most rugged part of the estate, where the soils are harsh and stony, the 2015 Red Les Cistes wine (Vin de France) showcases Syrah in a way rarely seen this far south. It opens with deep, savory aromas of tapenade, smoke, and bacon, wrapped in a remarkably silky texture that has been softened beautifully with age. On the palate, it remains dense and full-bodied, with notes of anise, spice, and tobacco. A true heir to the legacy of great Les Cistes wines—built to age gracefully, yet already offering a strikingly unique experience.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification, long fermentation. Aged for nearly 10 years, 3/4 in vats and 1/4 in casks.

Color:

Deep, intense red.

Nose:

A magnificent freshness unfolds, with notes of mint and black fruits.

Palate:

a beautiful, velvety tannic structure, lifted by fruit-driven flavors that bring both balance and freshness.

Temperature:

Serve at 14 to 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast pork with rich gravy, beef stir-fry with spring onions, truffle brie.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030
