Wine:

Sourced from 50-year-old vines rooted in sandy, flinty soils, the 2023 Menetou-Salon Le Carroir White is a striking reflection of its terroir. Still youthful, it shows a touch of austerity that speaks to its serious structure and aging potential. The wine pulses with energy, offering subtle aromatics and a streamlined, focused palate that’s both refined and vibrant.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, fermented in wooden vats, barrels and stainless steel vats, aged on lees in casks, mainly in barrels and in stainless steel vats.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Golden brown.

Nose:

Fresh with peppery notes.

Palate:

A cuvée with a taut, energetic structure, delivering a pure, restrained, and powerful expression on the palate.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C

Food and wine pairing:

Pan-fried prawns, fillet or steak of pike-perch in a white butter sauce.
