The art of revealing nature since 1811.

Art Nouveau is characterized by an unconventional observation of nature, by its attachment to craftsmanship and by the creative freedom to bring beauty into everyday life through a reinvention of nature. A philosophy shared by Perrier-Jouët.

DRIED FRUIT PIE x PERRIER-JOUËT Blason Rosé by Pierre Gagnaire

An unusual story

Perrier-Jouët was founded in Épernay in 1811 by a young couple, Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët. From the very beginning, they were determined that their House would be unique. In particular, they chose the rarely used Chardonnay as their signature grape variety, creating a distinctive and complex floral style. To this day, their creative freedom and unconventional observation of nature remain the hallmark of the House.

Séverine Frerson

The 8th head cellar master at Perrier-Jouët and the first woman to hold this position, embodies the soul of the Champagnes. Responsible for the blends, she conveys the richness of the House: the memory of the vintages, the terroir, and the music of the grape varieties. The philosophy can be summed up in 3 words: "Chardonnay" for elegance, "Floral" for a journey around flowers, and "Natural" for the vine and its fruit.

A global approach

Located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Perrier-Jouët's vineyards bear witness to the eco-friendly vineyard management practised by the House (HVE in 2016). At the same time, it supports its winemaking partners in their quest for sustainability. As part of its global approach, it has reduced its CO² emissions by 55% since 2009 through initiatives such as optimising transport, green energy and eco-design of packaging.
