Wine:

A blend of different parcels anchored in Stéphane Ogier's native Côtes Brune and Côtes Blonde, on steep, narrow terraces, the 2021 red Côte Rôtie Mon Village delivers a charming, elegant version of this ultra-rated appellation. It's a perfect example of a syrah, displaying very pleasant, juicy, crisp fruits, with discreet ageing; there's balance, a lovely length on the palate dominated by rose and violet, accompanied by a lovely freshness. An elegant version of Côte Rôtie that can be enjoyed now and that will seduce you for ten years. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 20% whole grapes, cold maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, aged 12 months in barrels.

Rose bouquet punctuated by notes of violet.

Palate:

Fresh and fleshy, with juicy, crunchy fruit, let yourself be charmed by this cuvée with its elegant, delicate profile.
