A favorite of the selection committee, the 2021 red Bandol is a magnificent wine built for long aging. From the moment it is opened, it enchants with all the scents of the south, featuring a distinctly Mediterranean aromatic profile with notes of rosemary essence, macerated black fruits, and particularly a lot of freshness. The palate is full and juicy, with exceptionally well-integrated aging, and the refined, fine, and plentiful tannins create a very appealing ensemble with a refreshing finish. Kudos for the balance and flavorfulness! Rated 94-95/100 by the committee!Vinification:
Hand-harvested, almost entirely de-stemmed, 15-day maceration, indigenous yeasts, aged 18 months in foudre. Unfined, unfiltered.Certified organic wine.
