Wine:

A success story! The 2022 Red Mon Garenne IGP Val de Loire reveals lovely, intense, straightforward aromas of peony and rose, highlighted by restrained ageing. The full-bodied, concentrated structure offers a fine quality of tannin that accompanies this velvety juice with its peppery finish. A true revelation! A " Favourite " of the Committee, rated 93/100.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Destemming, cold pre-fermentation maceration for a week, followed by native yeast fermentation for around 3 weeks. Aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months before bottling.

Color:

Dark red, beautiful and brilliant.

Nose:

Beautiful aromas of peony and rose underlined by a restrained ageing process.

Palate:

Full-bodied and concentrated with intense, bright aromas of fruit, this wine develops a dense, velvety juice with a deliciously peppery finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast farmhouse guinea fowl, entrecôte with cracked pepper, sautéed veal chop with wild mushrooms, matured farmhouse Saint-Nectaire cheese.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028 and beyond for enthusiasts.

Guided by prominent figures in the wine world like Thibaud Boudignon and Danjou-Banessy, Félix Célard left the kitchens of Le Bristol to craft his own wines on the schist terroirs of Anjou.
